As part of the Faculty of Engineering care Cairo University and technological projects for students and raise the name of the University and the Arab Republic of Egypt in competitions and international forums.

 

 A team from the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University to participate in the international competition European Challenge Rover Poland and in which teams from different universities Ichariq around the world to design and implement a robot walking in space on the surfaces of planets and doing some operations such as the analysis of some soil samples and communicate with the spacecraft to do some model maintenance operations where Shariq team in the competition in the period between 5 to September 7, 2014


And achieved third place on the 24 teams involved as part of the second Egyptian participation in competitions of this kind after achieving college team finished ninth in the contest University Rover Challenge this year, which was held in the United States
In the April team includes students from the engineering departments aviation , space engineering , mechanical forces ,  engineering forces and electrical Instruments and they are:
